Here's What My Clients
Have To Say:

people like you and I)

We had begun a wish list for our home-to-be several years before. At the top of
the list was energy efficiency. When we had a question on how changing a certain aspect of
our plan would/would not affect energy efficiency, Phillip was able to guide us, especially
when the question was, "Would it be cost effective"?......
Phillip was very, very diligent in trying to please us with interior and exterior adjustments
we wanted to the original plan; yet advising us what would or would not work. He had
excellent ideas to better our house plans and really listened to our concerns.
We thank Philip for his professionalism in our end product of a great set of house plans
that our builder can work with and for the placing of the house on the lot which really helped our
frame of mind. We thank him for working so patiently with us.
Phillip is a family man and a
Christian. We thank him for his character. We realize a house is temporal in God’s sight and
in the whole scheme of things. But in anything we set out to do, we want to do our best. We
feel Phillip Rye excelled in helping us with our house design plans. We hope him and his
family the best.
Mike and Janet Cagle, AR
Phillip,
Jerry and I want to personally thank you, for not only your professional manner, but for your
personal involvement in which you helped design our new house. It truly was a pleasure for both
of us. ,,,,,
We really appreciated your quick responses. An e-mail was sent or phone call made and your
immediate response put us at ease. We felt that we were extremely important to you and not just a
“client”. Your courtesy and listening skills are missing in today’s world and we truly
thank you for that gift. Listening is a lost art these days. If I had felt for one second
that what I had to say or ask was not important to you, then we would have gone somewhere
else.....
Our “new” house is very important to Jerry and I as we both have lost spouses. It will help us to
establish our new home and we are looking forward to our “new” life together.
Thank you again Phillip for all your help.
Terry & Jerry B., Maumelle, Arkansas
Dear Phillip,
It has been a pleasure working with you long-distance on our new house design.
Your knowledge and willingness to work
with our sometimes odd ideas has been a true joy. We appreciated all of your suggestions on the house layout as well as the energy
analysis, as we firmly believe energy costs will continue to rise and having an energy
efficient house will be a comfort both physically and financially. Your costs were very
reasonable, especially with the level of customer service you provide. I will highly
recommend your services to anyone in the future. Keep up the great work.
Sincerely,
Brian and Cyndi - Los Alamos, NM
___________
Phillip,
When Margaret & I began sketching our dream home, I thought "This isn't going to be so
difficult." However, after trying to go from our sketch to an actual floorplan, on my own small Cad
system, I realized it wasn't going to be so easy. So I found someone who said "I can do that for
you." And everything was great until he tried to put a roof on the floorplan... Now, I knew I
needed Professional help, and that's where you came in.
Working with you has been a pleasure and a learning experience. Your various methods of taking our
thoughts and making them reality, in a professional manner, has been exciting to say the least.
Your experience and knowledge have made these beginning steps, of our first effort to construct a
home, a much easier process.
Thanks to some of the tips & strategy which you have applied, we will have, not only a beautiful home,
well constructed, but one which will be very energy efficient and comfortable.
Thank you, Phillip for starting Margaret & I off in the right direction for what will be our
new Handicap Accessible home. We greatly appreciate the "little" things you did to enhance our
project, and for billing us what I think is a most remarkably reasonable fee.
Sincerely,
Tom & Margaret Simmons

___________
... We sent an email to Phillip Rye to ask how we go about
getting started and he responded very quickly. He never pressured us, and told us when we got
ready, just to give him a call.
.... Phillip patiently looked at our house layout that we had sketched on a piece of paper. We
immediately felt comfortable with him, but a little unsure how working over the internet would
go... To our surprise, when we opened up our email on the night of August 19th there was our first
draft. We could hardly wait to see the next draft! We often wondered when he ever slept.
Phillip was very patient with us and always allowed us the freedom to change our minds. He gave us
many ideas and suggestions throughout the process.
Within approx. 2 weeks we had the final architectural drawings and energy analysis. Our building
contractor and friends looked over the Plans and the Energy Analysis and was extremely
impressed.
... Overall, our experience with Phillip Rye was a very positive one and we are extremely
satisfied with the results. We will definitely recommend his services to anyone.
May God Richly Bless You and Your Family,

__________
I have been following Doug Rye’s energy savings tips for a number of years and
when it came time for me to build a new home, it was simply a “no-brainer” for me to
have Phillip Rye incorporate those energy savings tips into my home design construction
plan.
Even though we were corresponding via email, .... it seemed as if we were working side by
side. I was very impressed with his fast and professional service.....They are impressive and
the detail provided exceeded my home plan expectations.
Thank you Phillip for all the wonderful advice you provided me ....You took “complicated” out of
the home design process and made it a very pleasant, almost effortless, experience. It has truly
been a pleasure working with you.
If planning to build a new home, I highly recommend you contact Phillip Rye and
Associates.... for achieving an energy efficient home that will save you money.
God Bless,
Steve S., Garfield, AR
"I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to design a custom home that they
consult Phillip Rye. I was initially concerned that going through a home design process from
several hundred miles away could be disastrous, but found it to be just the opposite. Any
changes needed or wanted were handled quickly and efficiently and to my satisfaction, and
I am very happy with the resulting house plan. It is truly amazing to see a plan that
has been in your head for a long time finally make it to paper, and Phillip made the
process easy and enjoyable. "

"Phillip,
My wife and I found working with you a great pleasure. Thank you for your excellent advice and
detailed drawings. We were very pleased with your attention to detail and quick turn around
with changes. "
Al and Stacey Lewis
Anderson, MO

"Going into this process, I was somewhat worried about designing our our house
entirely over the internet.
After working with Phillip, I can only say that we are very pleased with the final outcome. He was
very patient, worked through our revisions, and absolutely used technology to its full
benefits.
At times, it was like we were in the same room discussing the design and changes. Bottom line - I
highly recommend Phillip Rye and Associates to help you develop your house plans."

What is the average bedroom size?

for sure that my stairs will reach the second

and how does it apply to my home?

Phillip,
Thanks for drawing up our house plans and energy consulting.
Living in
Alaska, and communicating with you in Arkansas, I
didn't think it was going to be easy. I sent you 8 pages of
notes, pictures, and a list of features to make our dream
home.
After a couple of phone calls and emails (while on
vacation in Hawaii) our plans were sent back to us.
I was very pleased how fast and accurate they were with our
wishes.
You drew up our friends home in Wyoming, and it turned out
beautiful. It is now our turn to build our home and with your
help I know it will be beautiful also.
Thanks again
Louise & Bill S.

"Phillip: My wife and I want to
thank you for the architectural drawings and energy analysis
you did for our new home.
It was amazing to have such personal service while separated
by so many miles. I live in the Miami Florida area and have
very little free time due to my work as the Emergency Manager
and Assistant Fire Chief for the City of Miami. I was very
surprised to see how easy it was to deal with you over the
internet. You did not require a lot of our time to orient
yourself to what we wanted. You quickly adapted to our
pencil drawings and turned our vision into a beautiful set of
plans.
Your were very responsive to our questions via email and you
even spoke on the phone with us us to quickly clarify our
wants. I have shown the
final plans to some of our friends and they love what you
created. We can't wait to build our dream home that you
designed. We are so happy that we used you and will be telling
our friends about how easy it was to use you and how impressive
your work is."
God bless, Allen and Lisa Joyce, Miami, FL

Working with Phillip has been a breeze! When
we first started planning our new home, we tried to avoid
having custom plans drawn up since we are both cheap and wanted
it done yesterday. However, we are so glad we decided to have
Phillip create our plans, and we are very pleased with the
results.
What we wanted is not the typical floor
plan these days. No bells and whistles. Just an open, family
friendly plan that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg to build.
Phillip worked with us to meet our goals and still have an
attractive finished product. Other than a few time delays due
to conflicting schedules, the process has been quick and
painless. Phillip has been very pleasant to work with
even though we have never met in person, and it's always
reassuring to work with a Christian who shares your values.
I will definitely be recommending him to
others!

"We would like to highly recommend
Phillip Rye. He has worked very closely with us, on
what was just an idea from my own head, about the house
that I wanted. My husband found Phillip's name through
his pursuit of a very energy conscious person to take
this on, he found his father's videos first and through
that we found Phillip.
We were frightened that we wouldn't be able to do something
like this over the internet, but Phillip was able to stay
right with us and was able to understand all of our wishes
for the house.
We were
extremely pleased with all of our interactions with Phillip
and all of the services he offered us from Drafting to
Energy consulting."
Kim and Dan Atchley
"Residing in Colorado and building in
Colorado with plans drawn in Arkansas would have been
a slow and tedious process in time past. Phillip and
I worked efficiently with the use of Internet
technology to communicate our ideas clearly and
quickly. It was a simple process of receiving a PDF
via e-mail, hand-sketching any changes, scanning the
document and e-mailing back to Phillip. We had no
ideas lost in oral communication. Phillip was
very responsive to my request and put
together a complete set of construction plans that
accurately portrayed my new house concept while
adding professional ideas all at a very affordable
price. I'd do it again."

Dear Phillip,
Greg and I would like to take this opportunity to
thank you for
the outstanding work you did for us by providing
such a wonderful plan for our retirement home. Working
via internet was remarkably easy and convenient for us. I
would recommend this process for anyone who is not
conveniently located near your office. The entire
process has been so much fun and I always looked forward to
each draft to see the changes and improvements that you
implemented. You took our ideas and designed a fabulous
home for the limited amount of square footage we gave you
to work with.
Because we are down-sizing, we didn't
want a really large home but it still had to meet the
certain and specific needs of our family.
You got it just right!
..........You paid very close attention to my list of
"must-haves" and actually came through with each
thing on the list. Thank you! It has truly been a
pleasure working with you.
Sincerely,
Maureen and Greg Bourns

Planning Tip
Computer Designs: Many architects and
designers use computers to create elevations, floor
plans, and design details. Computer aided design
(CAD) can save time and money, provide more accurate
drawings, and give you a visual image before
building. All Rye Home designs are done using a
computer program.

What's The Safest Room In Your
Home?
Being prepared for severe weather conditions goes beyond buying
batteries and stocking up on bottled water during the storm season. If
a tornado suddenly comes through your town or a hurricane lands on your door
step, where will you and your family go?
Unfortunately, masonry, framing, and sheetrock are no match for
200 mph, destructive winds and airborne debris. If you are searching
for someone that understands storm rooms and, more importantly, how precious
life can be, I will work with you on getting a very specific, low cost, storm
room that will protect you and your family during the worst of
storms.
This storm room:
-
Meets all FEMA standards and can withstand winds
produced by F5 tornadoes.
-
It's easy to finish out as a room of your home, can
be wired and plumbed.
-
Radio, TV, or cell phones can be used inside the
room.
-
Takes the place of a closet or storage space without
notice.
During the design process we will discuss your needs of a storm
shelter and I can incorporate the design into your custom home
plans.
While the home energy analysis is an optional service when I
draw your plans, you can't afford NOT to do it.
Each day thousands of homeowners live the American dream and
start to build their new home. However, they overlook one of the most
important steps in the home building process. They allow their
contractor, who usually knows nothing about energy efficiency, to
guess at the size of heating and cooling system they need for their
home.
An incorrectly sized heating and cooling system
results in
-
thousands of dollars in excess
equipment
(this is where we can save you BIG $$$),
-
an uncomfortable home,
-
higher utility bills, and
-
shorter equipment life.
|
WHAT DO I GET WITH THE
ENERGY ANALYSIS?
Everything you need to know about the energy
efficiency of your home.
When we run the energy calculations on your home we enter in all
the important information that affects the heating and cooling loads on your
home. We look at the direction the house faces, window sizes,
foundation types, ceiling heights, room sizes, exposed exterior wall, room
sizes, and other design aspects.
We will return your set of plans along with a detailed energy
specification list and a written guarantee on your average heating and
cooling costs.
Our specifications include requirements
for:
We normally charge 15 cents per sq. ft. (heated and cooled) to
size your heating and cooling system and give you a written guarantee on
your average heating and cooling costs.
However, if I draw your plans that is discounted to 10 cents per
sq. ft.
That's over 30% savings!
We have done this hundreds of times all across America and never
had one come back.
Already have your house plans?
It is important to note that even if you already have your
completed house plans we will run the Manual J calculations, size the heating
and cooling system for your home, and give you a written guarantee on your
average monthly heating and cooling costs. This cost is 15 cents per
sq. ft. living area.
