Thanks for drawing up our house plans and energy consulting. Living in Alaska, and communicating with you in Arkansas, I didn't think it was going to be easy. I sent you 8 pages of notes, pictures, and a list of features to make our dream home.
After a couple of phone calls and emails (while on vacation in Hawaii) our plans were sent back to us. I was very pleased how fast and accurate they were with our wishes.
You drew up our friends home in Wyoming, and it turned out beautiful. It is now our turn to build our home and with your help I know it will be beautiful also.

My wife Charlotte and I wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation for the superb drawing and energy analysis performed for our home we plan to build on our farm in Missouri.
During our planning for our “dream home”, we considered many different options for having our home designed to include using a local Colorado Springs, Colorado architectural design firm, ordering plans through on-line internet sources and ordering plans that were advertised in various home design magazines. These did not offer us with the flexibility, customization, personal touch and consultation that are so important in such a major endeavor.
Additionally, we want a home that is energy efficient to minimize our costs when we retire. When discussing our plan with our son who lives in Missouri about our desire to find a professional and energy conscious designer, he mentioned you and your web site. I went to your web site and researched your services, recommendations concerning energy efficiency and decided to submit an inquiry to obtain more information about your services.
What sealed the “deal” was the fact that you called me.This personal touch is rarely experienced. After talking to you, and reading what others have said, we knew that we had the right person to design our future home. And we have had no difficulties, coordinating the design and drafts even though we live in different time zones. We exchanged emails and telephone calls when required. Your responses to our questions and changes was always fast and accurate. As you stated in your design agreement ….Good communications is key to the process and you clearly practiced effective communications with us.

We had begun a wish list for our home-to-be several years before. At the top of the list was energy efficiency. When we had a question on how changing a certain aspect of our plan would/would not affect energy efficiency, Phillip was able to guide us, especially when the question was, "Would it be cost effective?"
We presented Phillip with a basic house plan. This was a starting point for what we wanted. We had several little changes and sometimes major changes (approximately 86) that we wanted to modify this plan to make it closer to what we desired. Phillip was very, very diligent in trying to please us with interior and exterior adjustments we wanted to the original plan; yet advising us what would or would not work. He had excellent ideas to better our house plans and really listened to our concerns.
Sometimes our drafts would take longer than we thought it should to return from him, but the final set of plans was worth the wait. Each interval we waited would give us time to really think through what we wanted. We have always heard you don’t want to start construction working out changes as needed, because the builder probably wouldn’t like it and it likely would cost us. So any waits were to our benefit to help us confirm in our minds the draft changes we thought we wanted was really what we wanted.
We thank Philip for his professionalism in our end product of a great set of house plans that our builder can work with and for the placing of the house on the lot which really helped our frame of mind. We thank him for working so patiently with us.
Phillip is a family man and a Christian. We thank him for his character. We realize a house is temporal in God’s sight and in the whole scheme of things. But in anything we set out to do, we want to do our best. We feel Phillip Rye excelled in helping us with our house design plans. We hope him and his family the best.
